pastures new......

Elding
By Drífandi out of Molda.
We sold Elding (above) as a youngster to Fiona Tyson of Torquay. A year or two later,
Fiona´s other half Graeme bought Elding´s full sister, Drift. He has just started riding
her and is having lots of fun (below).

Drift
By Drífandi out of Molda.

Ţrá frá Deildartungu and her son Gustur
Beautiful silver dapple mare and her extremely well-bred son, by Ţokki
frá Garđi. Belong to Angie in Dorset.

Skuggi
Young blue dun gelding, very big and promising. Belongs to Tina in
Yorkshire.

Kosning
A brown daughter of Rúna and Krummi, and a real sweetie. She´s very
happy with Lu in Herefordshire, doing some competitions, teaching Randver how to tölt
properly and looking after Lu´s son Keir.

Hýra and her foal Vordís
Hýra belongs to Judith, near Reading, and Vordís is "all growed
up" now, a nice riding horse for Lissy near London

Rúna from Pinecroft
f Ţokki vom Schoelsgitte, m Menja frá Víkingsstađir
Palomino mare, 13.3hh
Rúna was my first ever Icelandic foal. I imported her mother from Belgium, with Rúna
in utero. She was born chestnut (see the photo on the left), and gradually became
palomino, much to my surprise. She actually broke a leg as a yearling and spent several
months in a plaster cast, but fortunately she made a full recovery and is now a lovely
5-gaited riding horse who has bred some stunning foals, including Kosning (the dark mare
in the photo), Reifur (the chestnut gelding in the photo) and a palomino colt named
Fjalar. Rúna is the shortened form of the Icelandic woman´s name Sigrún. Rúna belongs
to Jeremy and Gundula near Aberdeen in Scotland.

Tinna from Solva
Tinna is Ísafold´s 2004 foal by Hávarđur. She now belongs to Graeme
and Fiona in Devon.
